The Georgia Legislative Study Committee Meetings for Direct-Entry Midwives were held the end of 2006. 
Final Recommendations have been released and can be reviewed by clicking on the blue text above. 

The Department of Health's Midwifery Task Force met the end of 2008. 
The Task Force made recommendations that a pilot project be established.
To date that recommendation has not been acted upon by the Department of Health. Below are the minutes from the two meetings.
